Landschaft Mit Haus / Maria Zaikina

Maria Zaikina’s “Landschaft Mit Haus” which translates to Landscape With House. A very impressive set of work.

My project is based on the combination of traditional performing the theme “Landscape with House” and the no less traditional descriptive genre of travel, thoughts go. I am researching the conditions of movement and rest, their mutual penetration and their Interaction. This is a great cycle of landscapes with a uniform composition, in random order. The landscapes are static: a square format, the dividing line between heaven and earth is almost everywhere in the middle, almost in the center stands the house, even squares; there is no movement in the images I use, by such immobile figures, but all the small details of the landscape blurs deliberately and horizontally extended transform colorful stripes of various widths, I reach the effect of internal motion in the images.
