Pop Culture Roundup 41
by TeemunnyPublished on Friday, December 7, 2012
It’s the triumphant return of Pop Culture Roundup. The forty-first edition is coming straight at your dome.
Captain’s log, stardate 1207.12, the poster (/Film points out a common trend with these posters) and teaser trailer (above) for Star Trek Into Darkness has been released. This is J. J. Abrams‘ second installation of the franchise reboot. It’s what you’d expect, an enchilada filled with next-level action and innovative eye candy. That shit cray. Another plus, looks like Abrams has toned down the lens flares. There is the Japanese version of the trailer below with some extra footage. Soak it in, Redshirts. The film opens on May 17, 2013.

A promo for the upcoming film Jeremiah Harm, from the people who brought you Iron Sky and Live Free or Die Hard. This is just a promo piece presenting the tone and style of the film, but it’s not material from the actual film. This promo was shot in Finland in Fall of 2012.
Les Misérables (Craft Featurette: Original New Song: Suddenly)
Man of Steel (Official Poster)
Here’s the first official poster for Oblivion, the new film from Tron Legacy director Joseph Kosinski. The movie casts Tom Cruise as a drone repairman who is stationed on an Earth that has seen better days, to put things mildly. The first image sells a grand vision of an almost fossilized Manhattan, with Cruise in the now-standard poster stance. via /Film
Stoker (Poster Version 3)
The Croods (Trailer 2)
The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey (13-Minute Television Special, The Magic Making of Middle-earth, Post Production Video, TV Spots 8, 9 and 10)

Forty-eight hours later, eleven had been killed or had vanished, making it the worst K2 climbing disaster in history.
From the director of the complex science fiction film, Primer, comes Upstream Color by Shane Carruth.
