Do you realize the English bard William Shakespeare wrote 37 plays? The more you know. It’s the 37th edition of the Pop Culture Roundup, Fam.

You have been living under a rock or been dealing with more urgent life matters, such as surviving a hurricane, if you haven’t heard Disney acquired Lucasfilm for $4 billion. The announcement was made on Tuesday and, as expected, the responses were mixed within the fanboy/fangirl community. Hey, I’m optimistic, if they can pull off The Avengers, I trust the Disney/Pixar brain trust can put something together that is better than George Lucas is capable of doing. Star Wars: Episode 7 is slated for 2015. Straight from the horse’s mouth, head geek Lucas and the new president of Lucasfilm, Kathleen Kennedy, discuss the future of Star Wars franchise, at the header.

UPDATE: George Lucas has pledged to use the majority of the $4 Billion to fund education. Wow. From this day forward, we are not allowed to talk shit about the Star Wars prequels anymore. This is great…
