David Rakoff 1964-2012

Last Thursday, David Rakoff, Canadian humorist, essayist, actor and frequent contributor to Public Radio International‘s This American Life died in Manhattan succumbing to his battle with cancer, he was diagnosed with a malignant tumor in 2010. He was 47 at the time.
A prolific and prizewinning writer, his work has appeared in GQ, New York Magazine, The New York Times, Salon and Slate.
He will be missed by the literary world, in print and in web.
