Let’s jump right into the twelfth edition of the Pop Culture Roundup.

We featured a host of Prometheus hype in the previous PCR, here’s some more stuff. Soak in the WonderCon Exclusive at the header. Also, we featured the unlocked high-resolution image of star map control room in PCR 11; clever hackers have uncovered these two new images from the Welyand Industries site. Click the images below to view the exciting teaser images in hi-rez:

A teaser for the trailer of the remake of Total Recall with Colin FarrellKate BeckinsaleBryan CranstonJessica Biel and Ethan Hawke. It’s directed by Len Wiseman. Don’t really understand the hype of hype (Trailers for trailers?!) but this remake/reboot/remix looks fairly well done. We still love cult-filmmaker Paul Verhoeven‘s interpretation of Philip K. Dick‘s We Can Remember It for You Wholesale but color me excited to see this version also. By the way, have you heard/seen the Total Recall DVD commentary by Arnie? High comedy.

This seems to be one of the last blockbusters to come out this summer, debuting on August 3rd, 2012:

The fine ladies of Mad Men doing You Keep Me Hangin’ On:

Do you have Starz? You might be interested in this new series, Magic City with Jeffrey Dean Morgan. Think the pitch went something like, “The Sopranos meets Mad Men!” Looks intriguing though. Miami Beach, New Year’s Eve, 1958-1959. Castro’s rebels seize Havana, while the Kennedys, the mob and the CIA all hold court at the luxurious Miramar Playa Hotel. This is Ike Evans’ (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) place, and he used mob boss Ben “The Butcher” Diamond to finance it. With diving clowns by day, and escorts at night, nothing’s what it seems in Magic City:

Here’s the Loiter Squad episode which premiered on Adult Swim on late Sunday evening. It’s  from Tyler, Taco and Jasper’s (from Odd Future) new bizarre comedy show. As expected it’s nonsensical and kinda funny:

Super Power Beat Down (Episode 1): BATMOBILES RACING, The concept of the SPBD web series is to take two super powered legends and make them battle! Every month we will release a new episode, where viewers will be able to vote to determine the winner. The show is hosted by Marisha Ray, with two debaters, Damian Beurer and Andy Liegl. Together they battle with their sci-fi/fantasy knowledge and comic wit to see who they think the winner will be. In addition, experts from specific fields will guest star and contribute valuable information:
