Sound of Young America recently interviewed Grammy Award-winning rapper, Prodigy of Mobb Deep. Prodigy opens up about his life as a teenager growing up in Queensbridge, his ongoing battle with sickle cell anemia and his recent hiatus from music, serving a three year prison sentence in a New York state penitentiary. Jesse Thorn definitely does his homework, showcasing Mobb Deep’s significant impact on East Coast hip hop during the mid ’90s. Great interview, thanks to Sound of Young America.
Prodigy recently published his first autobiography, My Infamouse Life. Mobb Deep will release their eighth studio album in 2012.
