Well, this one went viral, fast and hard.

Miami-based, designer and illustrator, Miguel Endara, illustrated this scanner-produced image of his father with a pointillism technique, stippling with a supply of Micron pens. The portrait, titled Hero, took Endara more than two hundred hours to complete and is composed of approximately 3,200,000 ink dots. How about that for patience and rigor?

He documented his process with a slick video (we dig the tracking on the number count); you can view it at the header. Also, check out the detail of the drawing at his site.
