The Knowing / The Weeknd

The Superslice has featured three videos of The Weeknd, all unofficial fanmade productions. The Knowing is The Weekend’s first official video. The visual imagery is drawn from Abel Tesfaye‘s (The Weekend) homeland of Ethiopia. The video begins with a symbolic reference to the departure of Ethiopia’s last emperor, Haile Selassie I. The video then transitions to a beautiful futuristic vision of an Ethiopian planet. The dreamlike video directed by Mikael Colombu.
