Here is the first official trailer for Marvel‘s The Avengers, in theaters May 4, 2012. From the first look, it looks appropriately epic; none of it made us cringe. We’re hoping that talented and lauded director, Joss Whedon, doesn’t drop the ball on this one. Nick Fury, Black Widow, Iron Man, Thor, Captain America, Hulk, and Hawkeye on one screen! The pressure is on.

Tony Stark: Dr. Banner, your work is unparalleled, and I’m a huge fan of the way you lose control and turn into an enormous green rage-monster.
