Here is Swedish artist and painter, Andreas Englund, with a brilliant painting narrative. It is painting series which features a superhero well past him prime. In his twilight years, the old “man” struggles to maintain his efficacy as a superhero and deal with the mundaneness of everyday life. The series is tongue-in-cheek, clever and almost perfectly executed. Really good stuff by the talented Swede artist.

Humour can be the carrier of messages that are otherwise hard to convey. For me, it liberates my thoughts and ideas from pretentiousness while at the same time it opens
