The original track is pretty sweet with the sample of Otis Redding‘s Try A Little Tenderness; this Otis remix is a worthy redux. The video is directed by Spike Jonze. Mad Max Maybach + American flag + models + Aziz Ansari = Sure, why not?
If this was a Hype Williams function, my lowered expectations would make me content with the visuals. Since it was the usually creative Spike Jonze helming the production of this music video, part of me is inclined to say, “Meh.”
Though, I will say that one of the redeeming things about this video are the usually too-cool-for-school frosty MCs, Jigga and Yeezy, look like they are having a blast…and that comes across. They look like kids and I can’t hate on that.
